A HUGE thanks to Andrew Oliver for all the work he did to organise this for us..YAY!!! Initial thoughts were we made between $4000-$5000 for the day but it looks like we may have made even more at final count!! Diane Hotham did an AWESOME job with our raffles, many thanks. To Tracey Brown and her Mum, Marie Mannington for their excellent fudge that we could have sold several times over..thank you very much. The Regional Guard Assessment was held at Whangamata on 16 Oct. Club Trialists were Gary Hinds, Emily Adam, Andre Adam, Hayley Betteridge, Callum Oliver, Stacey Semmens, Craig Scott, and Connor McVerry. Katie McVerry trialed in Dunedin. On the day guards had to run 3km in under 18mins, run-swim-run, tube rescue, 400m pool swim, theory, resuss and a personality interview. All guards were successful in gaining employment at Hottie this summer.
